Extension Curricularization

Starting in 2025, under the 2025 PPC, students must complete a workload of 25 credits in Extension Curricularization, divided between extension-based courses (EXT) and extension projects (Curricular Unit).

  • Courses with extension curricularization are already listed in the mandatory curriculum and identified with EXT immediately after the course name.
  • For extension projects, activities registered under an extension project in Sigpex can be considered, provided they are organized by professors from the course or from CTJ. When registering the student, the faculty member must select the “extension curricularization” option. If this option is not selected, the workload will not be recorded in the student’s transcript.

The workload equivalent to 25 credits (450 hours) must be completed by the end of the program. Students are advised to participate in extension projects early in the course, not leaving it to the final semesters, as there may not be enough time to complete it.

If you have any questions, contact the Automotive Engineering extension coordinator, Prof. João Carlos Xavier ().
