For Students

The internship in Brazil is regulated by law and may be required or elective. Check out the current legislation at portal.estagios.ufsc.br. Students at UFSC must formalize their internship via Siare (tutorial) before its start. Required internship

For required internships, the student must complete an internship contract available in Siare and enroll in the required internship course (EMB5323). In this, they must fulfill a minimum workload of 396 class hours (330 hours).

If the student is already doing a non-mandatory internship at the company and intends to continue it as a mandatory internship, it is necessary to terminate the current contract and sign a new Mandatory Internship Agreement (TCE). The non-mandatory internship does not validate the mandatory internship.

Before the end of the contract, students must provide the internship report, together with the evaluation sheets of the immediate supervisor at the company and of the internship supervisor at UFSC. The internship supervisor form, after being completed by the professor, must be delivered to the internship coordinator, so that the grade is registered in the Undergraduate Academic Records System (CAGR) according to the academic calendar.

International Internship

Students who intend to undertake an internship abroad must request the TCE (Term of Commitment for the Internship) from the DIP and enroll in the course ZZD0047 (International Internship) through the academic secretary. Additionally, if it is a non-mandatory internship, the student must enroll in EMB5097 (Exchange I), or if it is a mandatory internship, in EMB5046 (Mandatory Curricular Internship), in accordance with Normative Resolution No. 96/2021/CGRAD of September 29, 2021.
